Ed Brantley out at WIVK

Ed Brantley and WIVK go together like country and music, so what a shock to learn that WIVK’s parent company has let the popular, longtime on-air personality go.
Brantley in recent years has been general manager of the top-rated radio station. A call today to WIVK revealed the surprising news that Brantley is no longer with the station, effective today.

Left to run the station apparently will be Ben McWhorter, who will handle sales; Mike Hammond, who will oversee programming; Robin Lane, who will manage the station’s business; and Paul O’Malley, president of the South East Division of Citadel.
