Sword & Shield named to Solution Provider 500

Network security services provider Sword & Shield Enterprise Security Inc. has been named to the 2012 Solution Provider 500, the sixth straight year the Knoxville company has been ranked among the largest technology integrators in North America.

Sword & Shield ranked No. 132 based on revenues of $142.6 million in 2011, up from $139.1 million in 2010, the company said in a news release.

Sword & Shield moved up one spot from No. 133 on last year’s rankings.

The list ranks the largest value-added resellers, solution providers and integrators based on revenues from hardware and software sales and managed IT services.

Security pays off for Sword & Shield

Security technology services continues to be a very lucrative business for Sword & Shield Enterprise Security Inc.

The Knoxville based company’s revenues jumped to $139.1 million in 2010 from $73.6 million in 2009. That 89 percent increase was good for No. 133 on the Everything Channel’s 2011 VAR500 rankings.

The VAR500 ranks the largest value-added resellers, solution providers and integrators in North America according to revenue. Sword & Shield was No. 300 on the previous ranking. The 2011 list was released earlier this week at the VAR500 executives conference in Jacksonville, Fla.

Sword & Shield makes fastest growing list

Despite a sluggish economy, Knoxville-based Sword & Shield Enterprise Security Inc. has posted impressive growth numbers.

The network security services provider was this week recognized as one of the fastest growing information technology companies in the country by Computer Reseller News.

Sword & Shield averaged nearly 43 percent growth in the last three years, good for 72nd place on the CRN Fast Growth 100 List.

Sword & Shield makes VAR Business 500 — again

Knoxville-based security technologies provider Sword & Shield Enterprise Security has again made the VAR Business 500 list.

Sword & Shield is No. 300 on the 2010 list, the fourth consecutive year the company has made the list, and up more than 100 places from the previous year’s list.

Computer Reseller News compiles the rankings, which rate solutions providers according to their gross revenue.
