Low-fare carrier Frontier Airlines will again provide Knoxville to Denver service, the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority announced today.
At least for a while.
Frontier, which phased out its Knoxville to Denver service late last year said it will resume the flights on May 17. The service will continue through early September, according to a news release.
The Knoxville to Denver flights will be offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Frontier entered the Knoxville market in June 2011 and also offers service to Orlando, Fla.
“Our customers have thoroughly enjoyed our low fares and convenient service into Knoxville during the peak summer months and we’re thrilled to bring them that same low fare access to Knoxville this summer,” Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president, commercial., said in a statement.
From Denver, Frontier offers connections to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Seattle and other locations.
“Frontier Airlines has been a valued partner in the past, and we welcome their return to our market,” Howard Vogel, chairman of the Airport Authority, said in a news release.
