Members of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of East Tennessee now have a new resource to help them grow.
The Hispanic Chamber on Tuesday signed an inter-chamber agreement with the Tennessee Small Business Development Centers that will provide Hispanic business owners free advice on developing a business plan, loans, taxes and other business matters.
“The ability for businesses to consult with someone that is able to guide them is so important,” said Luis Velázquez, executive director of the Hispanic Chamber.
TSBDC will consult one-on-one with Hispanic Chamber members and it may also provide classes at the chamber office, Velázquez said.
Access to expert information is the lifeblood for all businesses. The agreement with TSBDC should provide a major boost for Hispanic Chamber members.
The Hispanic Chamber, which has about 170 members. recently moved to 11002 Kingston Pike in Farragut.
The new location will make it easier for the chamber to reach out to Hispanic businesses in Loudon, Lenoir City, Oak Ridge, Maryville and other nearby communities, Velázquez said.
