Despite a sluggish economy, Knoxville-based Sword & Shield Enterprise Security Inc. has posted impressive growth numbers.
The network security services provider was this week recognized as one of the fastest growing information technology companies in the country by Computer Reseller News.
Sword & Shield averaged nearly 43 percent growth in the last three years, good for 72nd place on the CRN Fast Growth 100 List.
“The need for effective IT security solutions continues to be strong. During these times of economic challenge, Sword & Shield has continued to focus on our core — security. This has enabled us to meet growth objectives and deliver the best value in security solutions,” Sword & Shield President and CEO John McNeely said in a press release.
Sword & Shield had net sales of almost $73.7 million in 2009.
CRN based its rankings on average annual earnings for 2007-2009 when the economy was most hurt by the Great Recession.
