 FedEx and Delta say increased shipments to U.S. retailers indicate “a brighter holiday sales season for retailers.”


Bruce Rockowitz, president of Hong Kong-based Li & Fung Ltd., a major Wal-Mart and Target suppier, said his orders are ahead of last year.

Holiday shopping won’t cure all that’s wrong with the economy, but the economic outlook for the coming holiday season is lot better than it was a year ago.
