Making your home and car green

A pair of workshops next week at the Center for Workforce Education at Walters State Community College in Morristown will teach you how to build a green home and transform your car into a green machine.

Both are Tuesday, Aug. 10. The workshops are free, but registration is requred.


At 9 a.m., DIY – Building an Architecturally Designed Solar Home with Your Own Hands. Dr.

At 10:45 a.m., DIY – Designing and Building Your Own Electric Car. John McMillian, founder of Shockwave Motors and author of “Electric Cars: The Switch Is On”, will talk about converting an existing car to battery power.
