Lobbyist trio set up new firm

(Nashville, TN / September 28, 2016 Three veterans of Tennessee government, Wendell Moore, Jeremy Nagoshiner and Tausha Alexander, have joined to form a new policy consulting firm, MNA Government Relations.

The new firm will focus on providing government relations and procurement services consulting to itsa clients. The combined experience of the new firm’s principals will provide clients the tools and resources necessary to successfully represent their interests to the state’s executive and legislative branches of government.

Mr. Moore and Mr. Nagoshiner, who were previously senior public policy advisors with the law firm of Baker Donelson, will maintain a strategic alliance with the law firm.

Carey, managing shareholder of the Nashville office of Baker Donelson, said, “Mr. Moore and Mr. Nagoshiner have a wealth of experience in Tennessee state government and an exceptional understanding of the legislative process that has been of significant value in helping our clients achieve their strategic public policy goals. Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Mr. Moore and Mr. Nagoshiner were with The Capitol Group, LLC, a government relations and public affairs consulting firm founded by Mr. Moore in 2004.
Mr. Moore has been involved in public policy and governmental organization work for three decades, starting when he joined U.S. Congressman Robin Beard’s staff as a legislative intern in 1980. While on Capitol Hill, he served as the legislative director to U.S. Congressman John Duncan Jr. and later as the legislative director to U.S. Congressman Don Sundquist. In addition to his experience on Capitol Hill, Mr. Moore has served in the federal level Executive Branch under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush, in the state level as principal deputy and chief of staff to Tennessee Governor Don Sundquist, and in numerous political campaigns. He is also the former deputy to the chairman of the Republican National Committee.

Mr. Nagoshiner has served as a budget analyst for the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration, Legislative Liaison for the Governor’s Office and Executive Assistant to the Finance and Administration Commissioner. He also served as an assistant research analyst with the Tennessee Senate Finance, Ways and Means Committee.
