James Carville picked as TN Democrats’ Jackson Day speaker

News release from Tennessee Democratic Party
Nashville, Tenn. (April 1, 2016) – The Tennessee Democratic Party’s historic Jackson Day Dinner will be headlined this year by national political strategist James Carville on May 7, 2016.

James Carville is the nation’s best-known political consultant and a best-selling author. His long list of electoral successes evidences a knack for steering overlooked campaigns to unexpected landslide victories and for re-making political underdogs into upset winners. His most prominent victory was in 1992 when he helped William Jefferson Clinton win the Presidency. In recent years, Carville has not been a paid political consultant for any domestic politicians or candidates for office, instead focusing on campaigns in more than 20 countries around the globe. He currently teaches political science at Tulane University and contributes to multiple national network cable talk shows.

Carville will be joined at Tennessee’s must-attend Democratic event by the state’s elected Democrats, grassroots organizers and supporters.

“We are excited to welcome James Carville back to the great state of Tennessee for this year’s Jackson Day Dinner. James brings humor and personality along with his great political insight. Our state Democrats will enjoy his one-of-a-kind style as he rallies our supporters and helps us prepare for big Democratic victories in 2016.” Said Democratic Party chair Mary Mancini.

Tickets are available online (at the TNDP website)… It will be held at Nashville’s Music City Center on May 7th at 7pm.
