Ramsey says Paris attacks show need to ‘get control of our border’

Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey, in a post on his Facebook page, says the Paris attacks should provide a lesson to the United States on the dangers of an unsecured border.

Reading the news reports from France this morning, I am truly horrified by the details of this well-planned, carefully-coordinated act of Islamic terror. France was our nation’s very first ally. We stand with the people of France and weep for the victims.

This is a terrible tragedy, but it is also a lesson. A nation without borders is no nation at all. For years, France allowed immigrants from the Islamic world to flood their borders and overrun their communities. What happened last night is a window into one possible future for our nation if we fail to get control of our border.

We have seen the unvarnished evil of Islamic jihadism. We know what confronts us. We must now ask the question: What are we prepared to do about it?
