Puttbrese exits as TNDP communications director

Excerpt from an email distributed to media by Brandon Puttbrese after his resignation as communications director of the Tennessee Democratic Party:

After nearly three tremendously rewarding years at the Tennessee Democratic Party, today is my last day.

Beginning next month, I am returning to the business world with an opportunity at an innovative marketing agency in Nashville that has exciting and aggressive plans for growth.

In addition to joining a great team of marketing pros, this change will enable me to explore new ways to serve our state and fight for our Democratic values.

I am proud of the elections Tennessee Democrats have won and the great work we’ve done to support those candidates and grow the Party.

I’m grateful to former Chairman Chip Forrester and Executive Director Jennifer Buck Wallace for the chance to serve and to Chairman Roy Herron for the continued opportunity to build a stronger Democratic Party in Tennessee.

I’ve developed some wonderful relationships over these three years. There’s a lot of political talent and opportunity at the Party, and I wish Roy and the staff success for their hard work.

Thanks to all of you who have made this experience one I will always cherish — your patience, cheers and constructive guidance has fueled our success.

Note: Puttbrese says he’ll continue political blogging, too. His blog, “Offensive Democrat,” is HERE.
