News release from secretary of state’s office:
All of the legislation approved this year, during the first session of the 107th General Assembly, is now available online at the Office of Secretary of State web site. These documents – including 510 public acts, 32 private acts and 1,071 resolutions – can be found at:
This is the first year that all resolutions – not just those required by law to be published – are available on the web site.
“The General Assembly worked tirelessly to pass good legislation and to end their work in a timely manner,” said Secretary of State Tre Hargett. “Our office has also worked quickly to make sure all Tennesseans have access to these acts and resolutions as soon as possible. Making all of this information available online increases government transparency and keeps citizens informed.”
The online documents are scanned versions of the original documents. Next year, at the end of the second session of the 107th General Assembly, the Tennessee State Library and Archives will store these documents for preservation.
