He quickly accumulated followers, but posted only one time.&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;Coming soon…Derek Dooley&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;That changed today, when he promised to Tweet a top-10 list about his post-employment life.&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;br&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;Top 10 reasons to embrace (or fear) professional transition, and other things I’ve been doing the last month.Derek Dooley&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;The first joke was incredibly promising…&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;10. Several theories emerged:1. Dooley only had one joke ready and is working on the next nine.2. The countdown is scheduled to be released once per day for maximum effect.3. This isn’t really Derek Dooley.&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;this Derek Dooley Twitter account is a parody, right?Carter&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;Well, we can’t be 100 percent sure this is the real Derek Dooley. His account isn’t “verified” by Twitter, but two people I spoke with at UT said they are fairly certain this is really him. Dooley was known for his wit and sarcasm even during three rough seasons, so it’s not a stretch to think that with plenty of free time on his hands, Dooley could have some fun with social media. Now if we could only get to No. 9.&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/div&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;

One more thing: As of Friday night, Dooley had a quite respectable 36,344 followers. But he only followed four accounts: ESPN, The Wall Street Journal, CNN and….Mark Twain.

BrandonHe opened the account long before one month ago.

Evan WoodberyGood call. I edited to reflect that he POSTED for the first time one month ago.

vol4lifeMaybe Twitter suspended his account for suspicious activity. Ya know, since he posted 3 times as much stuff in 1 day as he did in the past 3 years.

Mike BiddleWhen did he say he was going to do the entire top 10 list in one day? Lots of people post one thing per day.

EdMaybe he just realized there aren’t any other.
