Brig. Gen. Stephen L. Davis, who has served since 2014 as the National Nuclear Security Administration’s principal assistant deputy administrator for military application, has received a new assignment from the Air Force. Davis (pictured, left) will replace Brig. Gen. Richard M. Murphy as director of manpower, organization and sources, deputy chief of staff for manpower, personnel and services at Air Force headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Davis will be succeeded in the NNSA post by Brig. Gen. (Sel) Michael J. Lutton, (right) who serves as commander of the 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., where he leads more than 1,600 Air Force airmen in support of the nation’s land-based intercontinental ballistic missile force.
He will assume duties at NNSA on in early July, when Davis reports to his new position at Air Force headquarters.
