The Senate Appropriations energy and water subcommittee today passed legislation that includes $575 million for the Uranium Processing Facility in Fiscal Year 2017. That is the same as requested by the Obama administration.
According to a release by U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., who chairs the subcommittee, the funding for UPF will keep the project within its $6.5 billion budget and within the completion schedule of 2025.
