The contractor’s good list: No. 2

heuIn its Top 10 list of achievements for 2015, Consolidated Nuclear Security — the government’s managing contractor at the Y-12 and Pantex nuclear weapons plants — put “Reducing Global Nuclear Security Threats” at No. 2.

Here’s what the CNS leadership team said about that:

“Remained on or ahead of schedule for highly enriched uranium removals, HEU downblends and nuclear nonproliferation research reactor supply shipments. Conducted 50 percent more Alarm Response Training classes, training response personnel to respond to potential theft of nuclear and radiological materials, understand the hazards of these materials and protect their communities.”
