The Department of Energy’s relatively new Office of Enterprise Assessments conducted dozens of appraisals, targeted reviews of health and safety, nuclear security and cyber security, etc., in Fiscal Year 2015. The reports are outlined in the office’s report to Congress.
Here’s an excerpt from the year’s conclusion: “EA did not identify any immediate or major risks that warranted shutdown of operations. Overall, safety and security performance across DOE demonstrated effective performance in many aspects, although a number of areas required continued attention and improvement.”
