North Wind wins $15M, five-year support contract

North Wind Solutions Inc. was named the winner of a support services contract under the Department of Energy’s environmental management program. The award is an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a maximum value of $15 million over a five-year ordering period.

According to a release from DOE, the support services could include subject matter expertise; technical consultation for a variety of environmental, safety and health tasks; support for environmental characterization; and support for project management and safeguards and security.

Te DOE release states that North Wind is located in Knoxville. The company recently won a $123.9 million contract to manage DOE’s Transuranic Waste Processing Facility in Oak Ridge, but that award was protested by three bidders and is currently under review at the Government Accountability Office.
