ORNL’s role in ‘New Horizons’

Oak Ridge National Laboratory played a role, an important one, in the NASA “New Horizons” mission to pass by Pluto and its moons. DOE a few years back provided information on the multi-lab contributions. ORNL, as it has on other space missions, provided expertise and materials for the radioisotope thermoelectric generators that helped power the way-far-away activities.
