Kevin Jones of Oak Ridge National Laboratory this afternoon confirmed that the Spallation Neutron Source had returned to action, with a beam power of about 1 megawatt. Jones earlier reported the news that a power disturbance early Friday, apparently caused by lightning hitting a power transmission line, had impacted operations at the research facility.
