Small biz awards at ORNL

Oak Ridge National Laboratory last week recognized a number of local and regional companies with its annual Small Business Impact Awards.

Here are some of the winners:

— Pellissippi Investors LLC received the “Above and Beyond Award.”

— Materials and Chemistry Laboratory received the Innovator Award.

— Innovative Design Inc. received the Partnership Award.

— City-State LLC won the Rising Star Award.

— Scientific Sales Inc won the Marketplace Award.

— ORNL staffer Elizabeth Vacanti, the subcontract administrator in the lab’s Business Services organization, received the Small Business Advocate Award.
