$55M available for advanced vehicle tech

The Department of Energy today announced a $55 million funding opportunity for projects that develop and deploy “cutting-edge vehicle technologies that strengthen the clean energy economy.” For more information, here’s a link. The projects reportedly can touch on advanced batteries, lightweight materials, advanced combustion engine concepts, and fuels technologies. DOE said it will fund cost-shared projects with private industry, national labs and university-led teams.
