‘No major operational impacts’

Steven Wyatt, a spokesman for the National Nuclear Security Administration, said the extended shutdown of the Oxide Conversion Facility has not kept Y-12 from meeting its production responsibilities.

“There are no major operational impacts from not having OCF available at this time,” Wyatt said in an email response to questions. “However, we are continuing to work on getting this part of the 9212 complex back into operation.”
