CNS unveils org structure, some managers

Consolidated Nuclear Security, the incoming contractor at the Y-12 and Pantex nuclear weapons facilities, released its organization structure and introduced some members of its leadership team in a website post over the weekend.

CNS President and CEO Jim Haynes discussed the combined management approach in a message to employees at Y-12 and Pantex.

Here’s an excerpt from the message:

“As you view the organization structure, you’ll see that production operations at Pantex and Y-12 are surrounded by organizations designed to enable and support production. Mission Support and Mission Engineering provide the business functions, resources, and design elements to enable ongoing and efficient operations. Mission Assurance works across functions to integrate safety and quality, support critical operating processes, mitigate risks, and ensure that we are meeting all of our requirements.”

The contractor team is a partnership that includes Bechtel National, Lockheed Martin Services, ATK Launch Systems, and SOC.

Here are some key members of the contractor’s management team and the bios provided by CNS:

Jim Allen, chief operating officer

Darrel Graddy, senior vice president, mission support

Ken Freeman, senior vice president, safeguards, security and emergency services

Rick Glass, senior vice president, mission assurance
