URS Corp. today announced that James N. Taylor, a nuclear industry veteran, would become general manager of the company’s Global Management & Services Business Group. According to information provided by URS, the group provides management, operations, and technical consulting services at decommissioning sites in the United States, including the East Tennessee Technology Park in Oak Ridge, as well as projects at Savannah River and Hanford, and the United Kingdom.
Taylor previously was senior vice president of business development for the group. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of South Carolina.
In a statement, URS Energy and Construction President George Nash said Taylor “has a history of delivering superior results for our DOE and NDA (Nuclear Decommissioning Authority in the UK) sites.”
