David Duncan named to ORAU post

duncanDavid Duncan has been named associate director of Oak Ridge Associated Universities’ scientific and technical resource integration program, ORAU announced today.

“In his new role, Dr. Duncan is responsible for managing research peer review activities that coordinate the use of independent, expert reviewers to evaluate proposals and scientific and technical information for a variety of federal and state funding agencies,” the announcement said. “Additionally, he is responsible for identifying viable options for new business development and for establishing and developing business networks and partnerships.”

Before coming to ORAU, Duncan was a senior safety and health specialist for the Strata-G, an environmental and engineering consulting firm in Knoxville.

In 1993 he co-founded PrSM Corporation, an engineering and environmental consulting firm. Earlier in his career, he worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant.

He holds a doctoral degree in educational psychology and research from the University of Tennessee. He is a certified industrial hygienist.
